From the iPad of Isabeth Gannon...
Ms. Gannon is on fire! She is sending great resources for us to review and use on a regular basis and is challenging us to continue to find new and better ways to use technology in the classroom! I am loving learning from her!
Last week she shared with me Grockit. This is a test prep website where you buy a subscription (or use the 3 day free trial), pre-assess where a student is in a subject area, and the site helps prepare them for the test they have selected: ACT, SAT, GMAT, etc... It even has online study groups that students can join in and collaborate. Ms. Gannon had her students who were taking the ACT sign up for a free trial and use it to study for the ACT this past weekend. Along the way, she discovered that Grockit has many great YouTube videos on test prep and content specific tutorials. SO, even if you are not interested in purchasing Grockit, checkout the free YouTube Videos. You might could post them on Edmodo for student to view. This is a good resource!
Ms. Gannon also shared the following video from Teaching Channel where Sarah Brown Wessling, English Language Arts Teacher form Johnston, Iowa developed an awesome lesson on Shakespeare.
Keep the great resources coming Ms. Gannon!
