Our chemistry department is doing some great things with flipping the classroom. Mr. Walding has made an EduCreating for almost every concept he has covered. The students join his chemistry group on Edmodo and have access to all the mini lessons. Great job Chemistry department and Mr. Walding!

From the iPad of Jennifer Hogan...

At this link,, you will find an updated copy of the exam planning guide I sent out last year. With it, students can learn how to calculate the grade they must make on the semester exam to get the grade they want in the class. Also, it is a planning schedule to organize study times. I encourage everyone to share the link on websites, edmodo pages, blogs, emails, etc.  and encourage students to print it and use it! Teachers with freshmen advisories: The Freshmen Faces will be coming to your advisories to visit and do a presentation, much like they did prior to the Explore Test. Be on the lookout for an email from the sponsors, Jill Thomas and Rob Hamlin. Also, we will print these for advisories who request it. Just send me or Torino a number of copies you need and we will put it in your boxes.

Don’t assume your students know all there is to know about taking exams… give direct instruction on organizing time, planning, studying tips, etc. Let’s do all that we can to help them be armed and ready!

Thank you for all you do,

Jennifer Hogan, Ed.S.
