How will we collect data on the ELI and what types of goals will we set? 

We will use the Hoover Engaged Learning Initiative Professional Development Goal Document below to develop goals for our teachers and students.

Learning Goal:  To leverage increased student engagement, made possible by the pervasive use of one-to-one wireless technology, to increase the use of differentiated instruction and formative assessment strategies.

Professional Development Objectives:

2012-13: Year One
2013-14: Year Two
2014-15: Year Three

1.       Over the course of three years, ___% of teachers will complete certification in the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers.

2.       Over the course of three years, ___% of administrators will complete certification in the National Educational Technology Standards for Administrators.

3.       Student use of technology will be observed in the normal course of daily instruction at least ___% of the time in year one, ___% of the time in year two, and ___% of the time in year three.

4.       The use of differentiated instruction strategies will be observed in the normal course of daily instruction at least ___% of the time in year one, ___% of the time in year two, and ___% of the time in year three.

5.       The use of formative assessment strategies will be observed in the normal course of daily instruction at least ___% of the time in year one, ___% of the time in year two, and ___% of the time in year three.
